Palm Beach Gardens Florida – Best Public Golf Alternatives

Although Palm Beach Gardens has a lot of golf courses, there are a limited selection of public options.  According to the PGA of America, in Palm Beach Gardens, there are 14 golf courses in the 55.3 square mile municipality.  The total public or semi-public golf courses in that area include only 2 locations.  The PGA National Resort & Spa is semi-public (you have to be a hotel guest, member, or play in a tournament to play golf) and the Sandhill Crane Golf Club which was previously named the Palm Beach Gardens Municipal Golf Course.

The PGA National Resort & Spa which I have played multiple times offers 4 onsite courses and 1 offsite course.

According to PGA National Resort’s website.

More than a resort golf experience, PGA National Resort is a championship golf experience. How will you play?”

“The Palm Beach Gardens Golf Course is a challenging test of golf carved out of the beautiful Loxahatchee Nature Preserve. This Par 72 course was recently redesigned and renovated by golf architect firm Dusenberry Design in the summer/fall of 2013. With a new irrigation system, celebration bermuda fairways, and tifeagle greens, the course will become a golf destination for residents and visitors alike”.
